Not butthurt, I fully acknowledge that the country is awful right now but there's very little the average citizen can do to make things better, and it just sucks for those of us who are doing all we can, and don't have the resources to move elsewhere, to have our noses rubbed in the fact that our country is a disaster.

The rest of the world has had to put up with your imperialism and American exceptionalism crap for decades even though we could see it was bullshit. So right now, yeah people are going to be entertained watching you all drown in the shit we already knew your country was.

You don't speak for the rest of the world.

NAYRT--some of us (ask many Black and most Native American people about their treatment by the US government, or Muslims, or Mexican/Honduran/El Salvadoran immigrants) have known the US government and the propaganda it spews sucks for decades if not centuries now.

I was taken along to protests when I was young enough to ride on my parents' shoulders and I don't belong to any of the above groups. Do you have advice that doesn't parrot the average Trump supporter (just leave!) for what those of us who agree the US does and has done more harm than good can realistically do to help, or do you just want to ride your high horse?

Acting like because the US propaganda machine is loud and obnoxious and the Americans who believe and amplify it even more so, every US citizen deserves their current situation, is close to victim blaming.

Also good job delighting in the suffering of the vulnerable who are and will be most hurt by the current administration or, god forbid, four more years of it.

Pointing and laughing at people dying from preventable diseases for lack of health care, or in ill-managed natural disasters, or in protests by people who know firsthand how much the US sucks, makes you sound like that infamous Trump supporter who complained that "he isn't hurting who he's meant to be hurting." Thanks for proving that you'd make a great member of the Trump administration. Enjoy your schadenfreude.

America has done horrible things to the world, and many of citizens have been or are ignorant to this. But this is the worst take I've seen. The people that are going to suffer the most are the most vulnerable and who have already suffered greatly already under American exceptionalism. If you are looking forward to our billionaires and multi-millionaires suffering, it's not going to happen, but please go ahead. But if you are entertained by the suffering of the average person, especially the most vulnerable, you are straight up a self-centered assshole.
