This. This. This 100%! I have always found people's concern over human life really disturbing. There is no argument from me that animal abuse is horrific but humans being abused is just as horrific. I can't imagine how humanity in general is a good excuse to disregard other people. It's a weird nihilistic POV I can't fathom.
