I'd like to see more sequel media where the protagonists from the original choose not to have children. Not necessarily all of them, because I think storylines about a character's children and the choice to become a parent can be interesting, but I'd love to see characters make the decision not to have children of their own, because they recognize it as something they'd struggle with (or something they just don't want).

In the case of LOK, I think it's kind of sad for a lot of viewers to see characters they may have really identified with in the past growing up to fail to be better parents, no matter how interesting or plausible a character arc that could be. I'm not a huge fan of the writing in LOK in general, which I guess is not an unpopular opinion, so that probably contributes to people not liking those storylines in that particular show.
