In the opposite, I never understood the "Well they can't ALL be gay!!" protestations when it comes to fictional media. In real life, despite the progress made in acceptance, people just automatically tend to gravitate to people like them if circumstances allow it.

It's not weird for a group of friends to all be one ethnicity, or one gender, or all LGBT as a whole, because it's comfortable to be around people you know aren't going to judge you just by virtue of who you are.
