OP didn't include what their aesthetic was, but I remembered some comments about "cottagecore" that was a totally new term to me, so I Googled and this was one of the image results. It amuses me that it looks like Anne of Green Gables cosplay...

I feel this way so much - especially for the early 2000s X-men movies (yes I know it's been 20 year - and 20 years onwards I'm still waiting for a 80s/90s adaption that could be on the same level as the original animated series and comics... definitely don't mind if they still leave out the part where Magneto and Rogue dated).

To be honest? I completely get it. It was a very surprisingly psychological series. It also helped me break my drinking habit which I felt was getting a bit much so there's that.

yea same here. there are occasionally couples in films that are introduced as pre-established and their dynamic is rly fun from the get go since the story doesn't have to build up to it. and i fall for those sometimes~
but rarely does a movie have a couple fall in love during the story in a way that interests me enough to even mentally revisit it after the movie is over.
