Re: Do you believe in anything supernatural?
(Anonymous) 2020-09-07 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)Honestly I love the idea of us going to a planet that has life, and finding just a regular, boring fish. It's not funky looking, it's not weird, it's just a Cod you can find anywhere on Earth. That would be fucking hilarious.
But aliens visiting us? No, that doesn't happen and pretty much all UFO 'sightings' are completely made-up or the people in question were on some kind of substance and either not admitting to it or they didn't know. Or they were half-asleep, never trust your in-between brain guys, it lies.
I used to believe in ghosts/spirits because I live with visual and auditory hallucinations, so as a kid you bet I thought that shit was all real and that I was haunted. But I got properly diagnosed as a teen and since that gave me a rational explanation of what was happening to me I stopped believing in them, it's just my brain being super-fucky. Frankly you really can't trust your own eyes and ears anywhere near as much as you think you can. Brains are messy. Also if I was born 100+ years earlier I would totally have been considered 'possessed', I'm glad I wasn't tbh.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-08 12:25 am (UTC)(link)Oh yeah, and the added stress of it all just made it all worse which ofc only 'confirmed' the suspicions of those doing the accusing. It was all kinds of fucked up.
