Husband had a day off today (he works one in five Saturdays) so we decided to try out the cinema and if we didn't like the vibe we'd just go home. We have Unlimited cards with Cineworld so we're technically not losing money.

Anyway, we went to the smaller quieter branch in our part of the city and we didn't need to worry as I think we encountered a grand total of two staff and there was only one other couple sitting far away from us. I'm not sure I'd do it often but if you can go on a weekday afternoon that seems to be the way to do it. I didn't eat or drink anything to minimise needing to remove my mask.

People weren't kidding about the sound issues with Tenet. Jfc, I think I missed like 40% of what was being said. I don't think it was worth being the film where we'd risk a trip to the cinema in the end.

I got my period this morning and I'm feeling kinda crampy and gross, tbh. And I'm almost out of tampons and pads so I have to get up and get dressed and get to the drug store, and I really don't want to, lol. I took 20mg of thc and while it has kicked in, it's not doing much for my cramps (which is very unusual) and it's too hot to use a heating pad. Ugh.

My neck is all fucked up and it usually feels better after I sleep but it's still bad today.

I'm crook - nasty cold, I'm hoping. I went down to the local Covid testing centre yesterday, and they stuck a swab so far up my nose I think they wanted to know my favourite colour, and they should have my results today or tomorrow.
It's almost certainly just a cold, but still.

ETA: Just got the text with my results! I may be a disease-ridden mess of a human being, but I do not have coronavirus! Yaaaaaay~!

Eating leftover chili. We are having cold front come through. It was 95 yesterday and it will be 65 tomorrow. I just hope our lone watermelon survives.

I can't believe it's only Tuesday and I kinda wanna die.

I'm a horror fan with tastes that tend to lean more hardcore... but I can't stand watching people argue and bicker with one another; it's far more frightening than any spooky movie. Even the faintest hint of two people not getting along makes me nervous. Hopefully as the weather starts to cool down, so will people's moods. Just so tired of drama altogether.

Other than that, slowly but surely making progress on Dark Souls achievement collecting.

I feel really sleepy and grumpy and out of sorts, despite the fact that it's been a fine day and I actually got some genuinely good news today, so basically depression-y

I got an Ebola shot!! Maybe. 25% chance it’s a placebo. I’ve been feeling weirdly smug about it.

Not great. David Harbour and Lily Allen just got a marriage license. It seems that all my actor crushes only want to be with dumb trophy wives.

One of my cats has informed me that it is very cold today and I am Not Allowed to Move while she warms her belly on my legs.

She growls every time another cat comes close.

Okay. I don't feel like I got enough done at work today, but at least I'm past the worst of my period and not so weepy. My sinuses are miserable from the wildfire smoke, though, and unfortunately I don't think that's gonna let up any time soon. At least it's cooled off, the high's only supposed to be in the high 70s/low 80s near the coast for the next couple weeks.

just woke up from a nasty nightmare in order to take my meds.
aside from that though, i'm doing alright.

Things are bad right now and I don't see them getting better.
