I don't think there's any sarcasm in the secret, though. I think OP has a major flaw in their reasoning and are surprised to be taken up on it, which is not the same thing.

ayrt - yeah, but I was trying to be a little polite and not just straight up call them a liar. We all know that when someone writes a big-ass paragraph about something they believe and clearly want to impress their audience with, and the audience responds 'no, that's dumb', and they go 'ah-hah, I was only kidding, how did you not realise', that's the oldest and saddest face-saving exercise in the universe.

Ah, I see. That was nice of you, sorry to spoil that. I'm honestly surprised that the OP didn't just sort of... not respond at all. That seems like the easiest way to duck the whole issue since everything's anon.
