I don't see how it's non neurotypical to take things with a grain of salt and basically not drink the fandom kool-aid? it's fine to get caught up in the momentum and then back out once you realize the thing people are talking about is not the thing in reality. I mean. like that's literally. I'm so confused how having regrets, being disappointed that fanon isn't real, or being uncomfortable when fans continue to insist that their fanon is real is in any way non-neurotypical.
