Pour moi,
Live action: subs only
Animated: dub if available, no matter how bad (unless it was very heavily censored). sub okay if there is no dub

It's nice to be able to focus on the visuals

Same. Dubbed live action always looks silly, but with animation it's not a fundamentally different experience dubbed than not - it's just different voice actors - and they can at least sort of match the mouth movements.
