Wei Ying clearly a permanent resident of Cloud Recesses and living in the Jingshi with Lan Wangji, and no plot details to contradict this silent assumption of marriage. That would literally be all I need.

nayrt but while this was a cozy ending, it always seemed really boring and unlikely to me. I can't see Wei Ying being happy to live at Cloud Recesses forever, even with LWJ. Using it as a home base, okay. But to me it makes more narrative sense to have them traveling much like Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen did, pursuing their shared vows to right wrongs, etc. etc.

Oh I agree. I figured that the trials and tribulations of having Wei Ying reside at CR would be a running theme. With Lan Qiren suggesting maybe they go on walkabout again.
