I also have a strong suspicion that most people who hate Rowling now don't even care that much about the transphobia

I'd guess most of them were the fans most vocal about how much the Pottermore info and Cursed Child sucked.

There are a lot of people who object to Rowling's views and there are a lot of people who thought that Pottermore info and Cursed Child were bad
