111. There was a lot more pathos and, well, umph to the storyline when they were around. On the other hand, I do like how the storyline was concluded, rather than left open-ended when it looked like Runaways might not return.

117. Unrelated to SPN because I don't watch the show anymore: Last week I saw fangirls call Gwen from Merlin a Mary Sue. Yeah. Her. The nice girl who's a bit of a dork. The sweet-hearted water-fetcher.

WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE STOP!? YOU'RE NOT EVEN MAKING SENSE ANYMORE!

141. I love it! I love it! I love that show soooo much! I just started watching it last week or so; at first I hated it because Arthur was a bully but by the second episode he became the greatest prince EVER. Every character is AWESOME and every week they go out and slay a griffin or an evil fairy or whatever and that's so satisfying but they still have layers, only the layers are awesomeness and adorability and I watch it with my mom now and I want to wear Morgana's pretty dresses and Merlin has ears like mine and Obama's, SQUEEEEEEEE!

Oh, and the Arthur cartoon I had growing up had football players. Going back in time. And becoming King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Somehow Arthurian legend survived.

But now I don't have your respect. Oh well... I guess watching more Merlin will cheer me up! :D

Last week I saw fangirls call Gwen from Merlin a Mary Sue. Yeah. Her. The nice girl who's a bit of a dork. The sweet-hearted water-fetcher.

WHAT

I love the show's take on Gwen/Guinevere. I've never seen her as anything less than a lady/noble before, so I find her character refreshing and different. And...a Mary Sue? Her? Sigh. People throw around Mary Sue far too much. It's becoming a catch-all for characters they simply don't like.

Merlin/Morgana <-- they have their ~magical moments
Arthur/morgana duh
Gwen/Morgana <-- morgana like full on rubbed her shoulders and goes batshit crazy for her maid

The whole episode where they go to save Merlin's home village, I was just in fangirl heaven. I think the creators WANT you to ship everyone with everyone so you don't care what ends up happening.

I agree with ALL those except, for some reason, I can't get into Arthur/Morgana. And I don't know why, because Morgana gets Arthur like the back of her hand. Perhaps because it's just too much pretty? Too much incest? I dunno.

I love scenes with them together, though.

BTW, have we talked about Lancelot? I think everyone needs a little more Lancelot (Lanceslut more like, amirite?).

i feel like the sexual tension between the four lead cast members is INSANE. Especially after getting bored and watching their behind the scenes cast videos and stuff.

Those vids also made me kinda fall into hardcore fangirl crushism of Colin Morgan.. which I still don't understand, but God his real accent is SO hot. unf.

I NEED TO JOIN SOME SORT OF MERLIN COMMUNITY. I HAVE NO ONE TO FANGIRL WITH AND IT MAKES ME VERY VERY SAD.

Do it! I don't fangirl outside of Fandom Secrets, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't! The Merlin fandom seems to be quite nice and friendly. And Crack_Van has panfandom, but it has some nice fan fiction recommendations.

and WHAT at Gwen being a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue is someone who gets all of canon warped around them, and become the most important thing in every scene. That's not Gwen. At all.

I just don't know. I don't believe in calling canon characters Mary Sues, but out of the entire main cast, she's probably had the least lines and fewest heroic moments.
