It's the movie adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon. If you haven't read it, I'd definitely recommend it. It's Arthurian legend told from the view of Morgan le Fay. I think I've read it at least once a year since I got it for Christmas in the seventh grade or so.
