Tatum more like Tater, lol.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
This. This I like.

He's a charismatic performer with a very specific, difficult to replicate energy and a ridiculous body. Who cares if his face looks like a potato? This is the equivalent of dudes on Reddit saying they wouldn't sleep with Rihanna because her forehead is too big.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry, people think Rihanna has a big forehead? Damn, I must have a six-head or a seven-head then. 😂

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I think mine's verging on a tenhead :|

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Rihanna was known for her giant forehead mostly because her hairstyles accentuating it at the beginning of her career.

I care if his face does. Kelly Lebrock was gorgeous -- I mean her body was banging too, but just her face was lovely. And I think that's part of the appeal.

Suggestions?

I'm going to nominate Aldis Hodge instead. (He might not be super-model-y enough, but woooo is he fine.)

Jason Momoa

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Though Aldis Hodge is a very good-looking man (and charismatic and funny).

Momoa's definitely a good choice. I actually enjoyed the Conan reboot, due to him running around barechested...
anarchicq: (Breyog from Flight of Dragons)

I enjoyed it too but because Rose McGowan seemed to be having the time of her life. She knew EXACTLY what movie she was in.

One of the Chrises, because they often give the feeling of having been made in a factory somewhere...

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Look, it's not my thing but seriously? Have we got to be so effing rude about this guy? Just say you'd prefer someone else.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
If you want to go for a predictable himbo, Chris Hemsworth's character from Ghostbusters is my vote.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
He is a very ugly dude indeed.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd cast someone younger than Tatum.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what I was thinking. If this is truly like Weird Science, you'd want to cast someone two high school aged female geeks would think of as their ideal man. Would that really be Channing Tatum? And not like... I don't know, Harry Styles or one of the guys from BTS or something like that? (IDK, I'm not in high school, either.)

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
You're dealing with high school girl fantasy here, not ideal high school relationship, so it could go either way.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-26 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but Rebel Wilson is 40 and Gabourey Sidibe is 37. In the original, the teens were actually played by teens, and Kelly LeBrock was 25 (I thought she was older but I was pretty young when I first saw it on TV, the wonderful version with the badly dubbed out swearing). I think a case could be made for someone younger, but I also think one could be made for someone older.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-27 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
If it were Wilson and Sidibe (and maybe we make the characters adults instead of pretending they are teenagers) then Tatum works. If we were going with a version where the characters are supposed to be actual high schoolers, then I'm not so sure about Tatum. It's not even just his age (which is a few months younger than me, btw, so I'm not going "Ew, he's forty!") but like the other anon touched upon - is he even someone current teens thirst after?

(Anonymous) 2020-09-27 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
It would depend on how they worked it, honestly. Teens crushed on Alan Rickman during the Harry Potter years, and he wasn't exactly Tiger Beat material at that point.

buttHISface?

(Anonymous) 2020-09-27 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
I agree 100% with you.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-27 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
I agree (though I do like Channing he has natural comedic style)
I'd go with Armie Hammer, Henry Cavill or Sam Heughan.
All three have beautiful faces and bodies.
