Not really devastating, but I stopped reading manga for years because I was disgusted by the obsession with youthful characters and surprise underage content.

It's wild when you're reading shit in middle school/high school and later realize/have the "Hold up... wait, what?" kind of moment -- and then it really hits you. It's worse when you realize you're likely not the target demographic for that manga. :(((((
