Sorry, I just can't bring myself to believe that this is a real thing. A suicide note left on a public forum that can be traced back to its source and thus back to its maker posted a whole month in advance?

Yeah, that's not a suicide note, that's an attention whore, and personally, I have way more concern for the fact that fake things like this actually belittle the people who really are suicidal.

They very well may be a troll,but we have absolutely no way of knowing.I don't think things like this should be taken lightly,and I find it sad that here on f!s,everyone laughs about it,but if it were posted to LJsecret it would've gotten a very different response.
Saying things like 'yeah right'[in the words of another person on here],will at best do bothing,and at worst push a person over the edge.

I've seen way more "oh noes, plz dunt do eet! u iZ beyootefull!" responses than anything else.

This person is a troll, and it's fucking obvious, and what pisses me off is that attention whores like this make a serious problem seem trivial by spouting off their "I'm going to kill myself because I have nothing else to live for!" in public. It's the Boy Who Cried Wolf, and responding in a positive way (ie begging OP not to do it) only encourages assholes like this.

People who really want to kill themselves just do it. They don't fucking talk about it before hand. They don't post their intentions on a public forum, they just. Fucking. Do it.

Then explain that kid who recently killed himself in front of all those /b/tards on his webcam.The kid in Britain who jumped off a building to shouts of things like "How far will you bounce?"
Tell me,what's your criteria for a "serious" suicide threat?

Regardless of what you say,I believe kindness can make a difference,and from our side of the monitor,that's the most we can do for a fellow human being.

The kid who killed himself in front of the /b/tards actually killed himself. He said "Hey, I am going to do this" and then, he did it. He didn't say, "Hey, in a month, tune in because I'm going to kill myself on the internets!"

Serious suicide threats don't happen like this. Yeah, I agree that kindness helps, but not for people like this because they aren't serious.

And it just occurred to me that we're feeding the damn troll.
