I mainly write one-shots, so on average, I'd say between 1,000 and 5,000 words.

Between 1,000 words and 5,000 words seems about right for me. *nods*

I got started writing stories under 1k, then I focused on Big Bangs, fests and things, so my stories got longer and more commonly between 10k-30k.

I usually hit 4.

Definitely 3, I don't typically like posting fic if it's under 1000 words, but I rarely get that much above 3k either.

If it's a oneshot, it's usually in the #3 range, followed by #2. I do have one that's under 500, and a couple that are in the 5-10k range, but most of them are definitely in that 1-5k range.

If it's not a oneshot, it's well above #6. I love reading fics that are stupidly long, and I love writing them too. Now, finishing them, on the other hand...let's just say an attempt is being made. ╮(╯▽╰)╭

+1

Here for stupidly long fics I'll probably still be working on in ten years but hey! Lol

4) Between 5,000 words and 10,000 words. I typically write one-shots (I think have one multi-chapter fic), but they always end up longer than I intend. /facepalm

Long. Lol. 5 or 6.

I really struggle with one shots. I find it much easier to plan out a full length story. I want to be able to write snappy and satisfying ones (2 or 3 I guess?) but I need to improve my short story skills.

I've started a fair few behemoths, but they're all abandoned or on hold until the muse strikes once more. The only things I've finished have been under 1,000.

I cannot finish things even if my life depended on it. I can only write basic scenes or plot out elaborate storylines, but I can never quite get them to work together. So mostly 1-3, like 200-1500 words give or take.

I'm pretty new to fanfic writing (written 6 fics in total so far), but I've found that I've been writing more than the previous fics I had posted up.
The first fic was about 1500 words long and the next two fics would go up by 100-500. Then my last 3 had grown by a 1000-ish per fic; 2500, 5000 and my last fics about 6300 words long.

Essentially, I'm not consistent yet lol.

Usually between 1,000 and 5,000, although I experiment with true drabbles and microfic when the mood strikes.
