I'm making crispy smashed potatoes* for dinner tonight. I'm really looking forward to them!

*You cook a pound of smaller potatoes until done (potatoes about the size of a golf ball work best), then smash them on a cookie sheet brushed with olive oil to a half-inch thickness, sprinkle garlic powder, black pepper and salt and bake at 425°F for a half hour.

I make this for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and put cheese on them, then blast them under the broiler for a minute. They're sooooooo good.
