Controversial take on Fahrenheit 451: I think that the people who are most invested in the book standing for censorship didn't read it but just read a summary or cliff notes which is a perfect example of the simplifying of art that Bradbury is railing against.

But yeah, canon ships aren't any more important to me than any other. Maybe I'm more likely to be invested in canon/supported ships because if the media wastes a lot of time on a ship I don't like I might bail. But I might also be more interested in non-canon ships because I already have the canon to explore that relationship. Anyway, "But It's Canon!" holds no weight for me. What's fun is fun!
