How do you feel about animated/illustrated Batman? If you're ok with animated/illustrated Batman then it's probably the actors.

I have never seen Val Kilmer before (Didn't see that Batman movie) - He looks like Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

Loling because it's true. I don't find any of those guys attractive. I think I might find George Clooney attractive in other roles, though, sometimes.

I don't really find any of them attractive but I think my main issue is that so far nobody in live action has sold themselves as Bruce Wayne to me. Their Batman I can believe to varying degrees (because of the cowl and the fact he's not meant to be just Wayne in a mask) but nothing has 100% clicked as Bruce Wayne for some reason.

Probably some of those actors are smart or educated guys, sure. But Batman/Bruce Wayne is supposed to be like, an out of the world super genius and nobody has ever played that realistically. Every Batman is the equivalent of putting glasses and a lab coat on and being like, they're a scientist now, right?

I mean I get that Wayne is a super genius pretending to not be one, but like, you gotta be able to play one in the first place, to play one pretending not to be one but have the audience know it's there

I remember going to see a big special on the 75th anniversary of Batman, and the guy there (Michael Uslan) was one of the big shots involved with the series and he said in his opinion, Michael Keaton had been an awesome Bruce Wayne but a terrible Batman.

We never get to see him as Batman (or even an adult, lol), but David Mazouz from Gotham is by far my favorite live action Bruce. Even with the show's lousy writing, he managed to sell me on how and why this Bruce becomes Batman.

That's because none of them are truely...well, philanthropic. What made animated Batman (and some comic versions) so good is his willingness to help his enemies and reach out.

Most of the live-action Batman films have just been "stop the villian and then wash hands o fthe mess."

Ben Affleck is very handsome. He's even called "Dilffleck" by many of his fans and I tend to call him Dilffleck a lot.

I think Adam West is handsome too, in the same way, that young Roger Moore was as Simon Templar in The Saint.

George Clooney looked too old back in 1997 to play Batman. He's okay but Chris O'Donnell was the hottie that stole the movie (and Batman Forever for the matter), as far as looks are concerned.

Affleck just radiates such a douchey vibe to me. I don't even see him as characters. He's always Ben Affleck.

Weirdly, Adam West looks the best to me of these.

Of course, all of them look terrible in the suit, so maybe it's just that live action Batman looks inherently somewhat ridiculous? Especially the bulkier armoured suits, even if they should make more sense for fighting in. They just look like they're trying too hard, and also like he should clunk and squeak like bedamned when he tries to move.

Animated Batman is usually more fluid, depending on animation style, and has the whole cool 'blend with the shadows' that's hard to pull off with live action.

I've worn waterproof waders before and they make a sort of swooshing noise when you walk in them. I can't imagine he's a stealthy guy in that getup.

Adam West is okay, and I've found George Clooney reasonably attractive in other roles, but they all always seem kind of weird and stiff to me. Except maaaaybe West? It's not a thing I find attractive in general.

Not shown but Rob Pattinson's attractive in The Batman, though I feel that he should have been Nightwing and not Batman.

I thought they were setting JGL up to be Nightwing in the Nolan movies and my "ugh" when they revealed his first name was Robin was audible in the cinema.

(Val Kilmer was hot once. So was George I guess in the early 80s when he was 22 but. None of the rest. None of that. Not at all)

Val Kilmer was hot as hell in Top Gun. I have no strong feelings one way or the other about anyone else.

I would agree except I will always adore Val Kilmer as Ice in Top Gun.
