I see the point that people are just trying to relate and make a comment but it still annoys me slightly that it can't just be my engagement ring and my stone. Does every woman who has a diamond get compared to a random celebrity woman with a diamond engagement ring? Idk, but it just feels like because sapphire is seen as an "unusual" choice I'm cursed to be compared to Diana/Kate more than I would be with a diamond.

The copy dress thing is just depressing to me more than anything because most of her clothes cost way more than the average Brit makes in an entire month. Even the knock-offs the newspapers recommend are pushing £100+ at times. I like a nice dress as much as the next person but it's just so out of reach for a lot of people.
