AYRT

you're welcome! (I have not looked. Far too tired and want to give people time to read if they are! I am blitzing my social media with new ads though on Saturdays.)

I hear you. I had friends who didn't even really get they were doing it. "Oh, I just like t-shirts and jeans." It can be really casual dismissal.

It is! They pushed her out. Ran her out of it. It was an odd decision since it was doing so well. I don't know if anyone has the full details of what happened though.

Is that what happened? Yeesh. She was the whole reason it was so good, as far as I can tell. I haven't seen any details around, but I haven't been looking for them either, so there might be some info around?

Damn, that's such a shame.

Yeah, Hasbro and the other execs ran her out. They kept it really quiet. She alluded to it in some interviews. My bestie was really into the fandom side of things. I'm not sure if they even gave an official "creative differences" type reasons like they do now.

It was a slightly different time back then. Not as much social media scrutiny. Now... if they did that, yeah... o_O

DA. Actually, I can answer this. It was a mix of her freaking out about changing her ideas and continually wanting to take it in grimdark ways. She was very angry on social media about more princesses, and basically every change that happened.

Which incidentally was what lead to the downfall of Voltron: Legendary Defender. She kept pushing for super grimdark ways and being neurotic about other people affecting her creative vision. (To the point where there wasn't even a collected lore around the office.) She even said that she made it so no one else could finish it. She was the one that pushed for several major character deaths which caused a big stink on social media. Not just from fandom, but from parents of children talking about how upset their children were to see so much death.
