I've tried NaNo multiple times over the years but have always failed. This year, I'm going with a different strategy: I'm going to take a topic I know absolutely nothing about and research up on it each day during the challenge, writing about it along the way. I have no characters planned nor setting and November 1st will be the first day I put any real thought into it.
