I have a friend who does a similar thing to this. She deletes or makes all her accounts private and takes away photos etc from the past few months. In our Livejournal days she'd private her entire journal. I never thought to save any of it because I thought that would be "weird" even though it's effectively a public diary. But a part of me was sad that she made so many of our adventures together private. I liked reading it from her POV even though I was there.

Her reason for doing all this is often related to her mental health and when she stays away from the Internet for more than a few days (plus doesn't reply to my texts/WhatsApps) then yeah I start to worry. She has a really lovely boyfriend now who really understands her needs so her less frequent posting often means she's spending lots of time with him. But you still wonder sometimes.

I hope the author is ok. Maybe it's just that life got busy. I hope you manage to find her somehow.
