According to TV Tropes, there’s a sidequest where you can get Cole to either act more like a mortal, or act more like a spirit. He only dates a mortal if you have him act more like a mortal. (I noped out of the game well before I got to that point.)

I'll agree, he's definitely got that...air about him. But thinking about your secret, I had to consider why I agreed, what is it? That he's got a mischievous and flirtatious/charming personality? Yes. But it bothers me (a larger point) that characters like this are the ones considered (ugh) "loose", pardon the term, but more prone to bicycle behavior if we will. Now I want to go off on some meta, but...ugh. I do love his character tho!

Huh, I didn't know about the comics, actually. I liked the show a lot and the art in this secret is really nice, so maybe I'll check them out (even if it might be a disappointing read for the reasons you said).

The author of some of my absolute favorite fics has taken them down multiple times over the last 15 years, then reposted them a while later.

I talked to her years ago and found out she does it because of mental illness. She deletes her fics when her self worth hits a low, then reposts them when she is doing better.

They've been down for a long time now and I'm worried. I really wish I could reach out to her, but she closes all avenues of contact when she deletes her fics.

I have them backed up so that's not my issue. I just really want her to be okay. :(

I think that would throw me off a bit too. Does she have a history of doing things like this? Some people think they're being funny by making a show of being hugely offended by something but don't realize not everyone is fine with the joke.
