I HATE the new format of Halloween Baking Championship. I liked the rhythm of preheats and main heats and as much as I love Carla, she's a little annoying as the new host. Oh well, there's always Halloween Wars!

It's so very obviously filmed during covid restrictions and on that basis, I'm actually really impressed with it. The separate tables, the bakers spread way out, and only doing one challenge so they're not in too close proximity for as long...it's not ideal but it's the way they were able to still film a season in spite of fucking 2020. I'm cutting it slack solely based on covid.
