This is a series of Earth 3 (aka the villain multiverse) So everyone plays the role of their Earth 3 counterparts, but extraordinarily well. There is some heavy Dick/Jayson, but Jason dies, becomes Red Hood and fucks everything up for the BatFam. It specifies on them and their growth across the instalments. I'm sorry if it doesn't suit your interest but I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone by offering a rec someone mentioned somewhat recently and offering you this, as it's a unique and genuinely fascinating interpretation.
Personally I just believe the writer is unparalleled in keeping characterization.

WELL DAMN. lol thanks! As I made this request, I just knew some of the best characterization would be in a Dick/Jason fic lol I just knew it!

Is there any one fic you highly rec for it? Also, I love dark! Characters, so I was super excited when I saw this lol

While you're here, could you give me a good break down of the characters/what makes these so good? (If you don't mind -- my intro to Nightwing was many moons ago on Teen Titans/the Batman movie where Robin was an acrobat...so I have no comic book reference. And Jason Todd I only knew about through my dabbles with Arsenal (comics) and Jensen Ackles voice acting a long time ago).
