Re: What is your biggest regret related to fandom?

Not trying more to communicate in fandom. When I first got into fandom on LJ and Deviantart I use to enjoy messaging and answering folks and had made a few online friends.
Then after joining Tumblr, and because of other things happening IRL, my social anxiety got severely worse for the majority of 2010s - where not only did I end up losing contact with all my online friends but I suddenly got panicky when people tried to befriend me or start a conversation. It didn't help that it was hard to communicate on tumblr in the early years as well as all the toxic wank that started to sprout up and made it less desirable to want to interact.

After hitting 30, my social anxiety has gotten a bit more manageable and I'm trying to interact more (mostly on spaces where I can be anon like here) - but I regret not trying sooner.
