Darcy in the second Thor 2. They took all her quirkiness and dialed it up to 11. And fandom put her in everything. She somehow found her way into completely unrelated fandom fic.

Agreed. Then again, she was annoying to me in the first one. I love those movies, except for her.

I didn't like her much in the first one but she was tolerable and I did try to think...it's nice to have a woman getting to be the wacky sidekick for once without there being any implied horrible rivalry between her and the main female character.

The way they dialled it up for the second was really obnoxious though so I really soured on her, not helped by years of her popping up in basically all the MCU fic paired with whichever character the author wanted to screw, and they would've been better using a self-insert instead.

But honestly for me the worst thing about TDW (other than too much Earth in general) isn't Darcy, it's Iain.
