Based on 1. Who is your favorite media composer? Yoko Kanno is my favorite. Love James Newton Howard and Elmer Berstein too.

Joe Hisaishi, hands down. Yoko Kanno is also great, and I like a lot of Toby Fox's work. John Williams has done some great work in the past, but I don't like his more recent stuff so much.

The legendary John Carpenter and Stewart Copeland who both did... a lot. Tangerine Dream has done a ton too. Bruce Faulconer, ala the American dub soundtrack for Dragon Ball Z. Chikayo Fukuda, perhaps best known for the soundtracks for the .hack// games. Josh Mancell, infamous for composing the original Crash Bandicoot soundtracks. There's so many.

Different Yoko here - Yoko Shimomura. I first took note of her for Legend of Mana (best soundtrack of anything ever, I seriously can't sing along with the vocal track because it's so beautiful I almost start crying) and then played Kingdom Hearts and liked her remixes of the Disney stuff more than the original versions, then went back and played Parasite Eve and that was completely different in style, not quite in my lane as much as the above two but still really good. Now I've run into two other games where I went "wow I really like the music in this" and then found out it was her again, so it's definitely not just me assuming anything by her is going to be great.

John Williams tops, but honestly there are so many I Love. It is the largest genre of music in my large music collection.
