Ugh, I know. x_x When she told me about all the parallels, I was even more disgusted than I had been before, when I thought she'd only done that shit to her. (Then again, the new revelations caused me to think back on how the manipulator in question had lamented about one of her good friends "abandoning" her a while back because of something horrible that had happened to her, and I realized that had probably been a similar situation, and that other good friend had probably finally gotten smart and gotten sick of her lies.)

So yeah, I have no doubts she's moved on to leech off someone else. God help them. :/

For all I know she might have been referring to me since I did stop coddling her after some time. She really was masterful at what she did. I always suspected things, but I was so taken with her at the time that I just looked past it. And when my mum more or less forced me to rethink my friendship with her, I started seeing things differently. Until the other week, however, some part of me still thought there was some truth to our friendship ... unfortunately, now I know it was just her using someone like she had likely done before, and did after and will do again.

Nah, it was a guy--Gene was his name, I think?

Ugh, yeah, Emily told me a little bit about how you got out. I kind of feel guilty about Emily, too, since she met her through me. :/ It still feels pretty surreal that burningvigor and I met her in RL... and even then, she had a self-pity-filled, emotional crisis that probably had more of a basis in fiction than fact. Ugh, but I still wonder.

I also have lingering suspicions that she might have stolen my friend's laptop when she spent that time with us in RL. :/ That might just be a total coincidence that it went missing, along with my own paranoia but... a photo she showed me later of her using an incidentally similar laptop at some salon made me wonder.

Ah yes, Gene. He was allegedly a really hot Asian guy, but I have no idea if this was true or her just trying to make him more appealing to me at the time. o_O

I remember that you all went to AX in 2005 I believe -- correct me if I'm confusing something here -- because she was talking to me at that time and gushing over it.

I really wouldn't doubt it, yanno. I'd like to think otherwise, but I really can't. She lied about everything and if you can't trust someone to be honest to the people who care about them, what can be said about any other moral standards most of us abide by?

AX 2005, that's right. Her story (this happened in the middle of the con) was that a friend who she'd bought the registration for had decided not to come and left her paying the check for the unused registration. She called me on my cell phone (my friends and I were at a different place in the con) and she sounded like she was crying and distraught. I consoled her (or so I thought) and she did the routine of "no, I'm just ruining your fun time, don't pay attention to me!" We then went and found her crying in a corner of the Dealer's Room, but were able to "cheer her up" after a while.

She also had a long, long talk with burningvigor's mom one of the nights that everyone else was in another room, in which she apparently said she had a gun in her trunk she was going to kill herself with and shit like that. Pff, yeah. Court's mom is a kind of no-nonsense woman who's good at talking to people and seeing through them, though, so she definitely gave her verbal slappage for that. (Still, she was pretty fooled besides that, just like the rest of us.)

The one unfortunate thing that happened to her that I can say is true is that the catsuit-type thing she got to cosplay Psycho Mantis kept ripping and falling apart, most noticeably in the ass area. We of course felt bad for her at the time, but.... I guess now I'd call it bad karma. XD

And yeah. :/
