136 - So why don't you stop scanlating and quit the fandom? No, really, I don't get secrets like this. I also have fandoms where people annoy the hell out of me, which is why I don't go near them and stick to reading the manga.

142 - IMO Sealand has a character simply because the whole concept that it wants to be a country is so utterly ridiculous (sorry, Sealanders). I know there are a lot of countries missing but really, there are so many countries in the world there can't be a character for each and every one of them. *is actually just happy that her own completely unimportant and uninteresting country has a character*

I agree. I don't get people who make a big deal about other people "ruining" their fandom, as if they should have any power over what you like and don't like...

Yeah. Also, so she's one of the scanlators, so what? There are other people who know Japanese in the fandom, I'm sure someone would pick up where she left off, she's free to go and leave the fandom if she hates it.

Sometimes you can have a really nasty experience in a small fandom and find it hard to -look- at the source material without remembering it. It's particularly hard if the fandom has only a few fanartists and writers about and whenever the subject is brought up, so are the people you once knew.


This, however... well, 'annoying' isn't justification enough in my mind and I know Hetalia fandom is big enough for one to run from one side of it to the next. As in, yeah, there's a chunk of it made of annoying people, but there's also another chunk made of awesome people - just ignore the annoying ones and hang out with the awesome.
