I agree. I don't get people who make a big deal about other people "ruining" their fandom, as if they should have any power over what you like and don't like...

Yeah. Also, so she's one of the scanlators, so what? There are other people who know Japanese in the fandom, I'm sure someone would pick up where she left off, she's free to go and leave the fandom if she hates it.

Sometimes you can have a really nasty experience in a small fandom and find it hard to -look- at the source material without remembering it. It's particularly hard if the fandom has only a few fanartists and writers about and whenever the subject is brought up, so are the people you once knew.


This, however... well, 'annoying' isn't justification enough in my mind and I know Hetalia fandom is big enough for one to run from one side of it to the next. As in, yeah, there's a chunk of it made of annoying people, but there's also another chunk made of awesome people - just ignore the annoying ones and hang out with the awesome.
