OP, that's wonderful. It's totally okay to spend money on yourself, esp. on something you might usually not -- to treat yourself. Treat yourself kindly, OP. This is one of those things. Some people go to nice restaurants, others buy a new outfit or whatever fits their favorite pastime, why is this any different?

If I had money to spend that way, I'd probably commission someone to write the exact fic I want. Complete with self insert OC/MC pairing. All the works. And to be clear, even if you feel like it was a splurge, if you've been feeling down, I would consider this as part of self care. Some folks go for a walk. Others watch movies. Ya know
