Today was leg day and now my legs are feeling kinda noodly, lol. Had a nice shower and a couple of puffs. Going to watch The Masked Singer on TV tonight, and I'm making homemade pizza for dinner. A quiet Wednesday, all day long, my favorite kind!

Still in the 40s here. I went out and voted this morning and then ran a bunch of errands. Now I'm curled up in bed with kitty, watching some Buffy. Also signed up for the Tolkien Secret Santa on Tumblr for this year this morning. Happy about that. I want to write more fics.

Literally everyone I know offline is depressed (poverty ridden town) with multiple individuals expressing suicidal thoughts and I don't know what to do with this information. Guess I'll just continue doing what I always do and bring in some food treats because that's the only way other than offering a listening ear that I know how to offer any kind of support.

Strangely, knowing that everyone else is depressed is having a weird effect on my own depression; I can't bear to see loved ones hurting and it does something to me where I suddenly get a renewed sense of strength to fight harder to get us all through? IDK if it's some sort of survival instinct ('do it for the pack') kind of thing or what.

Power is still out. Still trying to get an electrician out to fix our weatherhead and downed line.

Everything in our fridge/freezer is ruined by now and the yard is filled with huge branches. Also, we are under a flood watch.

Going to sleep early just so I can go to work in morning since their power is now back on. At least it will be warm.

I'm so stressed out about money I don't know what to do. My partner cries every day because we are barely scraping together enough for bills. They are looking at side gigs and I am on unemployment unable to even find a real job. I hate that they are even thinking about side gigs. One person shouldn't have to work two jobs while one isn't working any, right? I feel like shit.

I finally managed to get the garden hose disconnected, fully drained, and put away. That was the only winterizing thing I had left to do and hadn't done it earlier since it was stuck and I had to find the right tool to get it to unscrew.

What's the single best thing to watch on Netflix right now in your opinion?

I just renewed my subscription after not having it for months. yay. Just curious, if you could only recommend one thing, what one thing would you recommend everyone should watch on Netflix? Any genre.

Unsolved Mysteries! The second season is better than the first, IMO.

Evil. It had a really interesting first season. It's about a skeptic phycologist who works with a new priest and another man investigating miracles, possessions, demons for the church.

I like Cursed more than I thought I would. It's really refreshing to see a female lead who isn't wafer thin. The setting is interesting. I like Arthurian legends and this take is very different. It does suffer a bit from being a Frank Miller adaption in that it's not greatly developed but it is very pretty to look at.

Russian Doll. Lady Dynamite is a close second, but some of the cringe comedy can be hard to get through.

If you don't mind non-English shows that are a little unhappy/dark, Kingdom(Korean) and Dark(German) are both very good.

If you like cartoons She-Ra and Kipo are fun watches.

And for some good, solid fun: Umbrella Academy is a fun ride.

Bojack Horseman. I think it's the only piece of media that I can say changed my life. Which is funny because I HATED the first few episodes when I started watching years ago.

For something newer, Cobra Kai has been super fun.
