So, this thread's definitely doomed.

Not because the site culture is bigoted and backwards like some people like to believe. (It's far from perfect, but they're *trying*.)
(Though, yes, there is a group of TLP lurkers that just downvote every queer-related draft without exception. Fuck those users in particular. But the people who actually talk are nice.)

It's because people don't *want* LGBT tropes. They want "list of good LGBT representation". And good representation, by definition, avoids being tropey.

One of the cuts people are complaining *most* about was a trope literally defined as "character is bi, but it's not important to anything"!
