That said, if you like something that pays proper homage to Gothic tradition with extremely slow burn elements, themes of loss and death, a creeping sense of dread or foreboding and the ghosts are kinda secondary (except for right at the end I suppose) then you'll be fine.
Bonus: if you are familiar with Henry James's work as this borrows from a couple of other things as well as The Turn of the Screw.
I didn't particularly care for how quickly everything was wrapped up but some of the performances are worth it. In particular the character of Hannah.
