Lol I don't know this series, but I read a book about Aethelflaed when I was a kid, so I'm def. Gonna check this out.

The actor they're using looks about a bit older than the actress in this picture (and cute). Did you have anyone in mind? I'm into age gaps too sometimes.

I loved it but I didn't watch The Haunting of Hill House, which a lot of the disappointed people are comparing it to.

There's also a hot take going around that it treats the lesbian characters poorly and I just want to say if that's what's holding you back, I'm a lesbian and I didn't see any problems with it.

I do agree that the auditory stimming argument is weak, on par with literally any scientist character's professional field being labeled as "special interest" for similar headcanons.

However, I can see the touching thing, because it's not just him not touching WWX that sells it, it's him not touching anybody and being generally seen as "cold/distant" when really he's deeply emotional and just expresses it differently.

Both physical and emotional. I don't know, there's just something about attractive guys being hurt.

Though, I have to say, when Wormhole X-Treme! (the show within the show) parodied both the whumping and the actor's reaction to it, it was hilarious.
