see your first mistake here is in assuming a) that these posts only show up in fandom spaces and b) that all of these people do in fact demonstrate a deeper grasp of those issues in their other posts

NA - in fact, I think these posts would be much *less* annoying if they were showing up primarily in fandom spaces, rather than in the general Internet population at large

There is direct evidence that these kinds of posts show up outside of fandom spaces. I - and I'm sure many other people on here - have seen such things many times. It's not really an assumption.

I've seen posts like that on Facebook and other non fandom spaces, I don't really call my own observations an assumption tbh
