I also just wonder what the lesson here is? Is he supposed to be good? Bad? Neutral? Is he learning to play nice with other creatures? Is this just a stupid gimmick? Who knows.

#some human criminal: “I don’t know about you ‘Master Jedi’ but some of us just have urges that we can’t fight!”#yoda: “know what I think everytime I see a child do you? hm? ‘food’. Yes. ‘Easy prey’. ‘Helpless and unprotected it is.’#’'Eat the child do I? No. Feel the urge to eat? Yes. Base instincts we all have…learn to master them we must.”

He does have those sharp teeth, and forward facing eyes. I'm accepting this headcanon.

I'm leaning on neutral. A baby that in a true baby fashion sticks everything in his mouth, but doesn't have anyone to teach him better. Child neglect, really.

I mean, I'd take it as 'your toddler will try to eat literally anything, and you probably shouldn't let it', myself.

This. The only reason human toddlers don't eat the eggs of other sapient species is that they don't have access to the eggs of other sapient species.

Toddlers will shove anything that fits into their mouths. If it doesn't fit, they'll still chew on or lick it if you look away for five seconds. It's part of how they're investigating the world, and they're too young to have any grasp on consequences.

I think they were trying for humor, dark or whatever. And there wasn't enough in that episode to carry it. I know their official statement was "it was supposed to be funny guys, really!"

Like, okay, he ate one. You move the tank to the cockpit with the mother or strap that kid to your chest. People have been "he's not attached to this kid as a parent yet" and "he's not prepared." I don't buy it. He's attached. It means the writing is way too uneven.

The kid ate an egg of a sentient creature, feed the kid. Simple.

It just felt they did it one time too many, in an episode way too light of plot and could have been cut to get to Bo-katon that much faster.

(Also, wth is up with the Republic pilots. That is NOT my Republic leaving him stranded. Yes, let's accept a bribe and leave you here on this ice cube. Ugh.)
