Yeah that was kind of disappointing, especially since as far as I can tell, all the endings are like that, there's not "it was real" ending.

Cas is okay. Jack brings him back and he helps him 'rebuild heaven'. However, you don't actually see Cass. The info is relayed to Dean.
I'm only spoiling as I was with you, OP. Cas was always my fave and I was gonna be absolutely devastated if he was killed off for good!

I could maybe get past the silly way Dean died. Bringing back a season one, single episode character just to kill her. The blurry faced wife. The terrible wig. The fact JOHN got into heaven. The lack of Jack or Castiel.

But that Carry On My Wayward Son cover was unforgivable.

It actually could have been worse. They had some ideas for taking the skeeviness further, but ultimately decided to tone it down for the final product. But yes, I agree, what we got feels kind of skeevy and at least possibly statutory rape and some consent and coersion issues.
