My partner burnt something in the oven, our house is full of smoke and my head feels like it's being squeezed at the temples uurrgh

It's my first day off in eight days, so I slept in until 1:00pm and have done nothing but lie in bed drinking coffee, eating pecan pie, and watching Youtube. This is glorious. And I'm off tomorrow, too!

So far today I've done precisely squat. I'm braving public transit to the nursery for vegetable starts, since something(s) came along and ate or dug up a lot of what I started from seed.

Whatever's doing the digging seems to be hunting for worms or grubs, so probably a possum, but I'm not sure what got the carrot, lettuce, and kale seedlings. So far the peas only suffered a few casualties and about half the broccoli escaped the industrious digger.

I should probably do more laundry when I get home and wait to plant whatever I buy, but knowing me I won't get around to either until later this week.

My day started off with me not being able to sleep due to nausea, not being able to go shopping when I first woke up and the store would have been freshly cleaned due to nausea (chronic, so I wouldn't be spreading stuff around if I had gone), and then when I woke up again after going back to sleep, not only was I still nauseated but my laptop's power cord was messed up. Had to get up and root around to find the old power cord that was sketchy, but at least did work as long as I didn't move around on the bed too much. Since its replacement wouldn't work unless I held it very still in one position with my hands.

Though after that I took a walk in the park and a raid was hatching just as I came out of the woods so I was like "eh what the heck" and used yesterday's free pass on a Shinx, which turned out to be shiny, so that was cool.

Right now I should be in a zoom with extended family but I'm too nauseated to speak and the thought of hearing voices aloud makes my head hurt so I'm just lying here with my dying laptop and a white noise machine in a dimly lit room.

Cold feels mostly gone, but I didn't sleep great and woke up with a migraine. Ick. Trying to be productive. Got some laundry done. But now I'm laying in bed with an ice pack because headache has gotten bad.

Pretty chilled Sunday other than I managed to go on a lazy (slow) 2.5 mile run because I was in danger of missing doing three runs for the week this week.

Also watched the F1 live and was extremely worried we'd just watch someone die. Fortunately he's ok (just escaped with burns and bruising) but man, that was scary for a few minutes.

I'm so thankful Thanksgiving season is finally over. We had way too many guests where I work this week and it's been making me a total sourpuss with everything else going on. Hopefully December will be more relaxed because I need it. Thinking about doing something of a 'rare pair writing marathon' next week, assuming I've recovered some energy by then.
