I basically agree but I'm going to stay out of this thread bc someone is definitely going to shit on the 1 series that I read as a teen that I still am willing to defend

But, yeah, such a huge amount of fantasy is utter crap, especially that 80s-90s era of fantasy.

I'm sure she'll be fine financially, and I think part of the intent is to have versions of the songs she feels comfortable licensing to movies and TV, so I think it'll work out OK no matter what.

However, I am really curious how it turns out and how much she's going to change things up. It's a really interesting creative challenge and I hope she embraces it. It's kind of incredible and IDK if anyone else has really done something like this - go back and re-record multiple albums in the middle of their career.

There's no formula to it, honestly. I've been in fandom since about 2001 and I still haven't been able to pin down what makes a particular fic super popular and another fic not get noticed, bar the factor of having an author already be a BNF who has a lot of followers.

I don't think I hated it as much as a lot of people, but I wish they had confirmed that Sam ended up with Eileen. It would have been nice to at least see Cas, too.
