While we didn't get to see him in full action, I'm going to say Flanders would be the best animated husband? I'm trying to think of who else, but I. Feel most animated parents sucked. Like everyone in Rugrats had some shit going on (but they were trying). the dad from King of the Hill showed growth over time, which I think (if you're not perfect to start) is a good indicator for a good relationship (again, people being people and trying learning, growing). I nominate Flanders because he really seemed to live his family and seemed to have all his shit together. Whether you agreed with his values or not is another story, but...I mean next to Homer...or was that the point of Flanders as a character? To be a foil for Homer and the "ideal American nuclear family"?

Anyway, just my 12 cents.

Oh yes, Flanders and Hank Hill were good animated husbands and fathers. All of the mentioned dads in this thread are goofy and often ridiculous but a lot of them have their hearts in the right place.

Oscar Proud was a decent husband and father - very hyperactive and often got into trouble but still very caring and genuine.

I can't believe I forgot Oscar Proud! Yeah, I'd definitely put him up there with Flanders and Hank Hill. He definitely loved his family and tried his best to follow his dreams while supporting his family. I loved the Proud Family as a whole (Suga Momma was the best lol) but there was a lot of love in that family. Definitely up there. Supportive of his wife & daughter.
