Guess I'll sit at my lonely table for 1. I thought Natalie Portman did a good job in the first Thor and did what she could with Thor 2. Finding out the drama during production for Thor 2, I am taking it that it took Wonder Woman to become a success for Marvel to admit fault and try to make amends with Portman.

IMO it's a cynical move on Marvel/Disney's part, but I do believe Taika Waititi pitched a good faith story to Portman so I'm not so adverse to seeing Jane Foster pick up the Hammer.

I'll sit six feet away from you at the Jane table. I liked her in the first one. Didn't care for the character in the sequel, but I think that's on the writing/direction, not Natalie.

I'll wave at you from the opposite corner! I like the actor, like the role, liked her performances.

I wasn't aware of the drama, but MCU can frankly suck it, they fucked up a lot of stuff in later movies, and I think her character arc was one of them.

I’ll join you at the Jane table. I really enjoyed her, and her chemistry with Thor, especially in the first movie.

I’ll sit with you anon, I always liked Jane and have never understood the fandom hostility towards her. She’s nerdy and cute, thats enough for me to like her.

Definitely! I don't think anyone could have done much with the role she had in the second movie, but she was fun and lively and brave in the first one and I totally bought her and Thor having a fun fling (but she would never put him ahead of her research).

I'd join that zoom conference.

I liked her a lot in Thor, and she was far from the worst part of Thor 2. I'm unsold on her as Thor, but only because I'd like Sif or Val more with Jane as scientist support.
