Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I will be quarantining. My sister and her fiance both tested positive for Covid. I am suffering from all the same symptoms and I spent time with them this weekend (they didn't get symptoms until this Sunday evening). I tested negative with a rapid test but still taking precautions. I was off most of December so will be working from home.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your sister and her fiance make a speedy recovery and I hope what you have isn't Covid.

I have to catch up on a work assignment, so I'll just be in for the weekend.

Oh no, I'm so sorry about your sister and her fiance. I hope you stay negative and that they get better and don't get any of the bad symptoms and remain safe.

I'm mostly quarantining myself from now until Christmas because if everything goes right, sister and brother-in-law will be here, and brother-in-law is the one who had stem cell transplant and will always be a super high risk.

I'll be doing job applications, writing secret santa fics, spending time with kitty, and watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Maybe playing some music, not sure. And catching up on sleep because it has been a rough week and I'm way behind on sleep.

Dentist appointment yesterday didn't go well, my acid reflux has ruined the back of my top teeth. So I have to among other things completely cut out soda. So I have a grocery delivery coming tomorrow with some new things to try. Is going to be hard, though, since I use the soda to take meds with.

They have both lost taste/smell. :( If I am not getting better by Monday, I am going to get a non-rapid test.

Sounds like a pretty busy weekend for you! How many fics do you have to write?

Two. Both are for the Tolkien one. One is for the NSFW calendar, which should be easy because it is an easy prompt and I already know what I'm writing. But that one is due soon. And then one for a specific person, and that one will take longer, but they ship the same things as me and gave me some good ideas, so I'm excited about it too.

Finish editing the first chapter of a fanfic I've been writing and work up the courage to post my first ever fic on AO3.
And then finally get started on holiday shopping and decorating my house. Been having a hard time getting into the spirit and I do really like Christmas.

Well, my toilet pipes clogged for the second time in 24 hours this morning and rank-smelling water half-flooded my bedroom via the drain beneath the washer/dryer (which my bed's located across from). It's all dry now but I'm so tired of these floods. I now have anxiety about using the toilet!
