OP

Thank you. I totally agree that people who harass celebrities about their personal lives are wrong. Like I mentioned in a comment elsewhere in this thread, there are plenty of people on social media who call him gay and I would never do that; just because he's slightly famous-ish and rich doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to have a private life. It's just something I wonder about from time to time, but no one even knows I think he could possibly be gay other than the anonymous people here and I don't plan on telling anyone else.

I really just can't stand it when people act like that too. Like it's just a job, being popular/rich does not mean that they are then not entitled to the sanctity of their own privacy, nor the chance to live a lives without constant harassment from both deluded fans and the gossip mongering media at all times.

And there is really no need for thanks at all OP! I should be thanking you in fact! After all, it took until you responded here that I actually realized just how prevalent it is for people to reply/answer any one secret with their best defence/retort against the most common problematic interpretation of the secrets subject.
It's just so strange how the regrettable outliers shifted fandoms ability to simply interact.

Like I remember making jokes about Page's performance in The Umbrella Academy while watching the first season with my sister about how surprised we were when she started dating a guy. We doubled down on that when the second season came out, joking that Page could only play one roll- (at the time) herself, after the reveal Vanya was in love with the woman who took her in. Obviously we know that Page is an amazing actor and he can play any role romantic or otherwise to a tee. But never would I mention such jokes casually by any means. And it sucks so bad that honest and innocent jokes/comments can't be made anymore at the risk of people assuming you must be this or that and condemning you or people who take it literally and use it as a platform to spout their own bullshit. All the while all the people who do get the joke are afraid of saying anything. I hate it.
