Ugh, I waited so long to respond to this secret in the first place cause I just knew most of the comments would have nil-zero understanding of what they were talking about. It might sound cruel, but if that's how it is, that's simply just how it is...
You're completely right though. If a game has bad choices, or a circular/roundabout narrative, and idek- you are exactly right, that's on the writing, not the story, and especially under no delusion should one games experience decide what a genre as a whole should or shouldn't do. I mean that would be like watching Shallow Hal and deciding rom-coms should no longer include romance or comedy because I hated the movie.
