I've got a low tolerance for child roles in media...partly because of the way they're written, partly because of the acting. So much of what TV/movies think is cute just feels really annoying to me. That said, I don't remember being too irritated by the kids in Hill House but the first episode of Bly Manor has set my teeth on edge.
